Driving Licence New Rule | महाराष्ट्रात नवीन ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्स (Driving Licence) काढू इच्छिणाऱ्या नागरिकांसाठी महत्त्वाची माहिती समोर आली आहे. राज्य परिवहन विभाग (Transport Department) ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्ससाठी डोमिसाईल प्रमाणपत्र अनिवार्य करण्याच्या प्रस्तावावर विचार करत असल्याची माहिती आहे. मात्र, या नियमाबाबत अद्याप कोणतीही अधिकृत अधिसूचना जारी करण्यात आलेली नाही. डोमिसाईल प्रमाणपत्राबाबत काय आहे प्रस्ताव? :
मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, 1 ऑगस्ट 2026 पासून प्रथमच ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्ससाठी अर्ज करणाऱ्या नागरिकांकडून महाराष्ट्राचे डोमिसाईल प्रमाणपत्र मागवण्याचा प्रस्ताव राज्य परिवहन विभागाच्या विचाराधीन आहे. हा प्रस्ताव मंजूर झाल्यास नवीन लायसन्ससाठी अर्ज करणाऱ्यांना अतिरिक्त कागदपत्रे सादर करावी लागू शकतात. मात्र, अंतिम निर्णय आणि अधिकृत अंमलबजावणी शासनाच्या अधिसूचनेनंतरच होणार आहे.

डोमिसाईल किंवा अधिवास प्रमाणपत्र म्हणजे संबंधित व्यक्ती महाराष्ट्राची कायमस्वरूपी रहिवासी असल्याचा अधिकृत पुरावा होय. हे प्रमाणपत्र सक्षम महसूल अधिकाऱ्यांकडून दिले जाते. संबंधित व्यक्तीचे राज्यातील दीर्घकालीन वास्तव्य किंवा मूळ रहिवासी असल्याची नोंद या प्रमाणपत्रात असते. विविध सरकारी योजना, शैक्षणिक प्रवेश आणि सरकारी नोकरीसाठीही या प्रमाणपत्राची आवश्यकता भासते. प्रस्तावित नियमानुसार महाराष्ट्रात प्रथमच ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्ससाठी अर्ज करणाऱ्यांना हे प्रमाणपत्र सादर करावे लागू शकते.

कोणावर परिणाम होणार? :
नोकरी, शिक्षण किंवा व्यवसायासाठी महाराष्ट्रात भाड्याच्या घरात राहणाऱ्या नागरिकांनाही आवश्यक प्रक्रिया पूर्ण केल्यानंतर डोमिसाईल प्रमाणपत्र मिळवता येणार आहे. त्यासाठी संबंधित तहसील कार्यालय किंवा महसूल विभागाकडे अर्ज करावा लागेल. अर्जासोबत ओळखपत्र, राहत्या पत्त्याचा पुरावा आणि इतर आवश्यक कागदपत्रे सादर करावी लागतील. कागदपत्रांची पडताळणी पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर पात्र अर्जदाराला अधिवास प्रमाणपत्र दिले जाईल. भाडेकरूंना आवश्यक असलेल्या कागदपत्रांबाबत सरकारकडून स्वतंत्र माहिती देण्यात येणार असल्याचे सांगितले जात आहे. परिवहन विभागाच्या माहितीनुसार, या प्रस्तावामागे काही महत्त्वाची उद्दिष्टे आहेत. चुकीच्या मार्गाने ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्स मिळवण्याच्या प्रकारांना आळा घालणे, लायसन्स वितरण प्रक्रिया अधिक पारदर्शक आणि विश्वासार्ह करणे, रस्ते अपघात कमी करण्यासाठी प्रक्रिया अधिक काटेकोर बनवणे तसेच प्रादेशिक परिवहन कार्यालयांवरील (RTO) ताण कमी करणे, हे या प्रस्तावामागील प्रमुख उद्देश असल्याचे सांगितले जात आहे.

Documents required for a driving license

• Physical Fitness Declaration (form 1)
• Passport-sized photographs
• Medical certificate (form 1-A)
• Proof of address such as passport, ration card, life insurance policy, voter’s ID card, an affidavit sworn before a Public Notary or a Judicial Magistrate.
• Proof of age such as passport, voter’s ID card, birth certificate, school matriculation certificate, life insurance policy, or affidavit sworn before a Public Notary or Magistrate.
